Well it's Christmas Eve morning. My son just left for Boston and then home to Canada.
I am alone cooking and baking for Christmas. This is the first year I am not having everyone here and I miss it already. Christmas and everyone coming is so much apart of it for me.
Christmas morning I will drive about 1 hr away to my daughter Donna's house and then back home in the late afternoon I'll drive to my daughter Bonnie's house for dinner with some of my family. I still feel alone with no one here. I keep tilling myself this is part of getting old and the young take over.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring all good things.

First thing this morning went yard sale hunting and was not lucky.
Last week we had the family yard sale here at my house. It was a great sale
just a few things left and gave them away.
After yard sale hunting I went to buy my flowers for the garden. Found most of what I was looking
for. My son put up a new fence for me last week and I painted it. Now the garden by the new fence is almost ready. I have one bird house to put up on an old milk can and a new one to hang then I'll take a picture and post it.

Trip To Kutztown , Pa

Just returned from a trip to Kutztown. I was surprised the snow has not started yet.

I picked my granddaughter up from school. It is about 2 hours from my home. Her mom and I worried she would be driveing in the snow so I went to get her. NO SNOW. I now have to take her back Monday morning( her mother has to work)

We are going to get a storm starting Friday afternoon. I was looking forward to working, but now I have to
go to Kutztown and get my granddaughter. Then take her back on Monday morning. I just hope I get home befor the snow gets to high.

Will I did the June Market Square Show. This show is a Trade show only held at the Oaks Expo Center, PA. The shop owner just aren't buying. I'm hanging in there and trying some retail shows. I've been doing this for 20 years and this year is the worst.

I have been showing my work for about 19 years at the Market Square Trade Show in PA.
This show was down about 70%.

I am going to try doing a few retail shows to makeup for this show. I no this is a bad year, but I have to keep trying.
I will be doing the The Easter Parade of Fine Arts & Crafts Ocean City Music Pier
in NJ. A was doing the March 28 & 29, but right now it looks like the are going to put the March 28 & 29 show togather with April 4 & 5. This is held at Ocean City, NJ.

My grandson plainted a garden in my yard. He really is doing a great job.

I made him a scarecrow just for fun.

My grandson came to live with me about a mouth ago.

Things didn't work out with his stepfather. He is a great kid and really helps me alot, as I was all alone. He moved in right in time for cutting the grass and plainting. Tim always liked work outside and now he can.

I'll let you know how the garden grows.

I love Spring. This is a tree in my back yard. If only it could stay this way longer. Spring is a time of new things. This is the the time for growing and being happy. Summer is to hot and I stay inside more. Go out and enjoy the new life each day.

My Story

I have been crafting since I was a little girl. When the lady at the chicken farm would give me the printed feed sacks. My mother made my dress's and I used the leftovers to make things. I was about 10 years old an started sewing, with my grandmothers helping hands. About 2 years ago I started sewing dolls. I was working for a fabric shop and fell in love with so much fabric. I had to find a use for it. I no longer work for the shop, but still have a lot of fabric stored away.

I also love to paint folk art pictures when time will allow.

My real true love is sculpting papier mache figures. I started about twenty years ago and have sold to shops all over the United States, Canada, and Europe. I am best known for my Christmas and Halloween figures.

I use Celluclay instant papier mache and Creative paper clay to sculpt each figure. They only can air dry and it takes up to a week. When drying is complete I then paint and antique each figure.

I will post pictures of my work from time to time.
